Cold Weather, Warm Hearts

The weather was cold and wet but our volunteers were determined to warm the hearts of everyone they encountered last weekend. Along with our partners at Pursuit Projects we were able to provide bags of essentials to homeless in Whalley, Surrey. The rain was coming down hard and many were hunkered down under awnings or make shift shelters. It was a stark reminder to all of us that we may be wet for a few hours but the people we were helping live like this everyday. The bags included warm socks, food, beverages and other needed essentials. We were also able to provide each person with a Teddy Bear. It was heart warming to see the genuine smiles and joy this small act provided.

A big thank you to all of our volunteers including KOPYR‘s Good Fit Analyst Sue Sandhu for braving the cold and rain to provide for those that need it most.
